We have removed two massive skips of stuff and our team of electricians have been hard at work completing the "first fix" channelling walls and running wires under the floor. We have spent much of our time trying to decide exactly where switches and sockets are going to go without really having a complete plan of what items of furniture will go where. I hope we have got everything right but the truth is that only time will tell. The result of all this work is that we have wires hanging everywhere and channels cut into most of the walls. Wallpaper stripping has become the major focus of our evenings.
Pipework has been laid under the kitchen floor to help future proof ready for an extension but the plaster on the kitchen walls was so damaged that we have stripped the whole lot back ready for the plasterer.
The wall of the downstairs loo has been taken down to permit the installation of a downstairs shower. Don't worry the loo is not going to remain in this open plan position.
